Administrator Extraordinaire
Job description:
Ā mātou rōpū/About us
Based on the Kāpiti Coast, Te Kāhu Tiu will transform the lives of traumatised rangatahi on the trajectory to the adult justice system through an innovative, holistic and evidence-based programme. Grounded in te ao Māori, we will provide a therapeutic, learning environment for young men in order to engender their sense of self-worth and establish connections with their communities and whānau. We will teach our rangatahi to grow and prepare their own organic and sustainably produced food. We will show them how to live in harmony with Papatūānuku, healing themselves and the whenua, granting them the agency to become kaitiaki of the environment and their own whakapapa. Our first group of rangatahi will join us in early 2026, so there is a lot of mahi to do before they arrive.
